The 2024 rugby season brings with it some mouth-watering local South African fixtures with the newly re-crowned Springboks starting off with a 2 test-match series against the only team to beat them in RWC’23 – the mighty Irish; SA will host Ireland in Pretoria and Durban on 6th and 13th of July before a first when they take on Portugal (venue tba) on the 20th of July; this will be followed by two, no doubt huge, clashes against old foes New Zealand in Joburg on August 31 and then a week later on the 7th of Sept. in the Mother City; the local season then culminates in a game against the Pumas in the lowveld at Mbombela Stadium on the 28th of Sept.
